The consulting attorney is not going to ask you for any more payment during this consultation. This referral fee is payable by cash or money order only.
After the first meeting, if you choose to you may ask the lawyer the cost of more advice or a further representation fee arrangement. After the initial $40 legal referral fee, there will not be any further fees owed to the Bronx County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service, and you're not obligated to hire the lawyer with whom you consulted.
Referral hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, we are closed for referrals on Fridays. Meetings using the referred to attorneys are normally held at our offices located in the Bronx Supreme Court Building, Room 124, 851 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10451-2937.
