The membership of the Bronx County Bar Association is divided into 5 classes, active, associate, life, honorary and student.


Active Member: any member of the Bar of the State of New York shall be eligible for active membership.


Associate member: members of the Bar of any other state, territory, District of Columbia or foreign county shall be eligible for association membership.


Life Member: any member of the association who became a life member before March 16, 1989.


Honorary Member: any person not a member of the Bar, distinguished public service shall be eligible for honorary membership.


Student Member: any student currently enrolled in any approved Law School shall be eligible for student membership.


Admitted Less Than A Year:  Those attorneys who haven't achieved their first anniversary of admission to the Bar.


  • Annual dues are fixed by the Board of Directors and payable the first of July each year.
