LAWYERS
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LAP)
Ours is a noble and rewarding profession; however, it can also be a
stressful one.
When the pressures of life weigh heavily on you it is
important that to know
that we have particular resources available to us as attorneys.
The NEW YORK STATE BAR ASSOCIATION LAWYERS
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LAP)
was established to provide help to attorneys who are affected by
alcohol, substance abuse,
stress and/or depression. LAP provides information,
counseling and referral services,
and communications with the program are strictly
confidential.

NEW YORK STATE PARENT EDUCATION & AWARENESS PROGRAM
Certified
providers statewide help separating or divorcing parents better
understand
the effects of their breakup on their children. The program,
which in
many cases is free, offers parents practical skills to help
their
children adjust to their new family's situation.

The
